Mummies with young kids are often shown in messy clothes and untidy hair. While it may be true on some days, mummies want to look good too. Here are some of the tricks other mums have discovered and shared!
1. Teething necklace
For mums with bitey babies because they are starting to teeth, invest in a beautiful geometric necklace. It doubles as a teething toy and it’s safe to chew because it’s made from BPA-free food grade silicone. The necklace can keep babies occupied while cuddling against mummy who’s trying to have a conversation with the other adults!
2. Mary Poppins bag
Buy a good and stylish bag that’s big enough to hold your own belongings and the kids’ stuff such as toys, pacifier, games or pocket colouring book. If your outfit is mostly in dark shades, get a bag with a pop of colour!
3. Pretty statement pieces
Mums recommend other mums to wear statement pieces such as a nice scarf, sunglasses, headband or watch when they are planning to head out. Scarfs can double as stain covers or a temporary blanket for kids who are feeling cold.
4. A good lipstick is multipurpose
Mums also share a quick trick to freshen up quickly. Keep a good lipstick on hand as it can be used as eyeshadow and blusher as well.
5. A nice hat to cover bad hair days
Mums are busy and sometimes hairs can get messy. A good hat or stylish headwrap can help manage bad hair days!
6. Comfy footwear that you can run in!
Mummies do enjoy their heels too but for day-to-day footwear, get comfortable and stylish ones that you can run around in. You may need to run after your toddlers or they might step on your feet!
